The Indian team has booked their final date with archrivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy. They registered a thumping 9-wicket win over Bangladesh at the Edgbaston Cricket Stadium to reach the big final.
India completely outplayed Bangladesh and chased down the target with 59 balls to spare. It was a clinical, powerful performance from the India, right from the start. They never allowed the Bangladeshis to make a comeback.

Rohit Sharma anchored the Indian innings, and struck a fine century. Meanwhile, the Indian captain Virat Kohli also made an unbeaten 96. These two stitched an unbeaten 178-run stand for the second wicket.
Earlier, the Indian team got a solid start from openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit. They added 87 runs, and gave India a much-needed solid start in chase of 265. Dhawan, however, fell short of his fifty, but Rohit continued.

“I kept telling myself to bat as much as possible,” Rohit said. “We’ve been playing good cricket. One last hurdle, a big game against Pakistan. It felt like he was batting overnight (Virat Kohli). As a captain, he was brilliant.”
The Indian bowlers had also done a superb job in restricting Bangladesh to an under-par total. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kedar Jadhav knotted the opposition to give India an upper-hand in the total.
