There are still a couple of months left, but the Australian team is already gearing up for the Test series against India. Australia would be needing a massive effort in all the departments to beat the Indians at home.
Former Aussie quick, Glenn McGrath, believes that Australia would be needing a special effort to get the better of India. He adds that the form of pacer Mitchell Starc will be making all the difference in the Test series.

“You need spinners over here. I believe the likes of Nathan Lyon and Stephen O’Keefe should be in the team,” McGrath said. “I think in the past whenever Australia toured here, fast bowlers have done better than the spinners.”
“You still have to play to your strengths. Someone like Mitchell Starc can be dangerous and Australia will need him to be on top of his game here. Josh Hazlewood too has been doing well. They both have to bowl incredibly well.”

The Australians will be touring India in February for a four-match Test series. They would be needing a massive effort to put the Indians under pressure, seeing the kind of form the Indian team is enjoying at the moment.
India have recently thumped England in the five-match Test series. They also defeated South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand before the England series.
