The Nottingham pitch has turned out to be a batting paradise and as correctly mentioned by many – it looks nothing short of a sub-continent wicket ! The only way India could have a chance in this game is by getting England all out by the end of day 3. However, if England is able to bat for the whole day on day three, then I don’t expect a result coming out of this match.
Despite the early wicket of Alastair Cook to Mohammed Shami, England batsmen have so far looked comfortable against the Indian pace attack, and with the ball getting old, things would only get easier for them. It would also be interesting to see how MS Dhoni utilizes Stuart Binny, as I don’t see the Indian captain would like to give him many overs on a slow wicket like this where there is no assistance for the fast bowlers.
