As the Aussies slowly inching towards a cleansweep over Pakistan, the focus is now shifting towards Australia tour of India. The Australians will tour India for a four-match Test series in February-March.
Matthew Renshaw will be opening batting with David Warner in the Test series. The new Aussie opening pair has complimented each other pretty well. They have also got a backing of former Aussie captain Steve Waugh.
This effectively puts Shaun Marsh out of reckoning for the opening position. Earlier, he was tipped to open with Warner in India because of his impressive record. But, now he might replace Usman Khawaja in the team.

“It’s a difficult one,” Chris Rogers said. “What you hear behind the scenes is that they want Shaun Marsh in the side. I think (Marsh) is still right in the reckoning for India. How he gets in there I’m not sure.”
“It’s going to be very hard for selectors to drop Matt Renshaw,” the former Aussie opener added. “So, Usman Khawaja might be under pressure and what a big call that would be.”
