The Indian cricket team has reached Zimbabwe for a limited-over series, starting July 10 at the Harare Sports Club with the 1st ODI.
Ajinkya Rahane has been named the captain of the side, which mainly features youngsters in the absence of senior players like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli.
The squad does not feature leg-spinner Karn Sharma, who is ruled out owing to an injured finger, and BCCI has not named a replacement of the leggie.
Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has made a comeback in India’s limited-over squad, after returning in the Test squad, tweeted about team’s arrival in Zimbabwe.
“Arrived in Harare Zimbabwe,” Harbhajan tweeted. “Good to be back and see the local drum players welcoming us at the hotel. Good night India”
