India have already taken initiative in the series, and would be looking to double their advantage in Mohali. The Indian team won the last game pretty convincingly. They would want to repeat the feat in Mohali.
The conditions will play an important role in the 3rd Test. It would be interesting to see when the ball start to turn. The Indian team would be banking upon their spinners, again, to take all the 20 wickets in the match.

“It has certainly gone a lot slower to what it probably used to be in the 90’s,” Anil Kumble said. “But having said that, I am someone who certainly does not give too much importance to the conditions.”
“We need to play good cricket,” the Indian coach added. “I certainly believe that we played good cricket, both in Rajkot and in Vizag. That’s why we are 1-0 ahead in the series.”
“We will have to do that again, repeat that again in Mohali, no matter what the conditions are. Like I have said over the years, I think it has certainly gone slightly slower, not necessarily the way it used to be in the early 90s.”
The Indians are likely to field the winning combination, except just one change. Wriddhiman Saha will be replaced by Parthiv Patel behind the stumps. Saha had sustained a thigh injury in the 2nd Test.
