India’s new captain Virat Kohli believes that MS Dhoni will be playing aggressively in the upcoming matches. Kohli insisted that leaving captaincy will have a positive impact on Dhoni’s playing style.
In the pre-match press conference, Kohli heaped praise on Dhoni. He termed Dhoni the most intelligent cricketer around. The Indian captain added that he will never shy away from taking Dhoni’s advice during the games.

“Dhoni was successful because of his offensive style. I think he will bat with a lot more freedom and assurance,” Kohli insisted. “He won’t think twice about attempting a big shot.”
Kohli also pointed out the inclusion of Yuvraj Singh into India’s limited-overs squad. The Indian captain insisted that the team will treat each game before the Champions Trophy as a knockout match to prepare for the tournament.

“We need to get all our resources in place before the big tournament (Champions Trophy) coming up,” the Indian captain pointed out. “And, that is why Yuvraj (Singh) has been brought in.”
India will play the first game of the three-match one-day series against England in Pune on January 15.
