India swashbuckling batsman Suresh Raina is in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, and despite been on a vacation fine-tuning his game for the upcoming domestic and international season.
Suresh Raina is currently in The Netherlands and practicing at the Amsterdam Cricket Club. He is training at the synthetic pitches, with the Dutch national side, which has qualified for the World T20.
“With the new season around the corner, I am determined, hungry and eager to play the highest form of the game for India,” Suresh Raina said.
“It is wonderful to be able to train with total intensity with the Dutch national team since I want to hit the ground running when the domestic season starts with a series of tournaments across the country in Chennai, Chandigarh and Hyderabad,” he added.
Suresh Raina is not part of the India Test team, which is touring Sri Lanka, which means his assignment with the national team will start with the South Africa series.
The India middle-order batsman, who is on a vacation with wife Priyanka, thanked Dutch board for allowing him to practice at the Amsterdam Cricket Club.
“I am thankful to the Dutch Cricket Board (KNCB) and Amsterdam Cricket Club for letting me use their admirable facilities,” Suresh Raina said.
“I also thank the Dutch medium fast bowlers for giving me the opportunity to practice against them on synthetic pitches,” Raina concluded.
