Shikhar Dhawan once again showed that he is a big-match player. He struck a brilliant century at The Oval to fire the Indian team to a massive total against Sri Lanka. A win today will seal India’s spot in the semifinal.
MS Dhoni, too, was in his element and finished the innings in his trademark style. He scored an unbeaten fifty and added some crucial runs with the lower middle-order, as India posted 321 after been asked to bat first.

The Lankans, however, didn’t allow the Indians to run away in the final few overs. Dhoni did struck some big blows towards the fag end of the innings. But, the Islanders picked wickets at regular intervals to keep India in check.
Kedar Jadhav, however, provided a fitting end to the Indian innings, to help his side in posting a par total.

Earlier, the Indian team got a solid start with Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, who scored his second successive fifty. However, Sri Lanka crawled back in the contest with a couple of quick blows.
Even Yuvraj Singh misfired for India, who lost their captain Virat Kohli for a duck.
