The Indian Cricket Team is gearing up to face Sri Lanka in the Test series opener in Galle. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, however, has plenty to think before his side take the field on July 26.
Kohli’s biggest concern is who will open the innings with KL Rahul. India have already lost Murali Vijay to a wrist injury. The selectors have added Shikhar Dhawan as his replacement. Meanwhile, India also have Abhinav Mukund.
“Abhinav is there. He has played lot of domestic cricket,” Kohli said. “Shikhar got a hundred here last time and then he had to miss couple of games. Pujara opened in the last Test.”

“So guys are looking these scenarios as opportunities rather than getting under pressure,” the Indian captain added.
India will take the field as favorites against the Lankan Lions. The Islanders recently struggled against the minnows Zimbabwe. They also haven’t had a great outings in the ODIs and Champions Trophy.
“Remember we came here two years back after tour of Australia. We were six or seven in the rankings,” Kohli said. “That particular series in Sri Lanka gave us belief. It taught us to come together as a team.”
