Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell Reprimanded for Breaching IPL Code of Conduct

Kings XI Punjab have received double blows as they star batsmen have been reprimanded by the Indian Premier League for violating IPL code of conduct.

In a statement issued by the IPL, Punjab opener Shaun Marsh was fined for the ‘abuse of  cricket equipment or clothing’ during the match.

IPL informed in the statement: Shaun Marsh from the Kings XI Punjab team received an official warning and reprimand for breaching the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Mr Marsh admitted the Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.

Meanwhile, Punjab allrounder Glenn Maxwell has faced similar charges and has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL code of conduct.

IPL informed in the statement: Glenn Maxwell from the Kings XI Punjab team was fined for breaching the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Mr Maxwell admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match and accepted the sanction of a fine of 25% of his match fee.
