The Indian team now has a fresh assignment at hands – a limited-overs series against the West Indies. India would be targeting nothing less than a series win, and that too with a thumping margin.
They lost the Champions Trophy final to archrivals Pakistan. And, a limited-overs series win over the Windies will surely reduce their pain of losing the title. India and West Indies will play five one-dayers and a one-off T20.
The West Indies, meanwhile, have a good opportunity to gain some rankings points. They failed to make any upward moment lately after their three-match ODI series against Afghanistan ended in a draw.
This, however, won’t be easy for the T20 champions against a formidable outfit like India.
