The wife of MS Dhoni, Sakshi Singh Dhoni has lauded Team India for their efforts in the World Cup, congratulating the team on her Twitter account.
Sakshi posted a message on micro-blogging site Twitter for the Indian cricket team, after their semifinal loss to Australia at the SCG on Thursday.
She twitted: “Fought Hard!Proud of the team!You win some and you lose some.All the sacrifices made are totally worth it!Finally will get to c my husband.”
The defending champions crumbled to a 95 run defeat at hands of hosts Australia, despite putting up a brave fight in the semis at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
Earlier, India defeated neighbours Pakistan comprehensively to register a 6th consecutive win against them in World Cups, backed up by an even stronger victory against the mighty South Africans by 130 runs to shunt any doubts on their contenders tag.
India then went on to register convincing wins against UAE, West Indies, Ireland and Zimbabwe to enter the quarter finals with a clean slate where they defeated Bangladesh.
