India’s ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin just loves taking wickets. He has been doing it for quite some time. The 2nd Test against England is one such occasion when Ashwin again ran through the opposition.
Ashwin claimed his 22nd five-wicket haul in Tests. And, the best part of the story – Ashwin just bowled within the stumps and allowed the pitch to do the rest. Ultimately, it was his spell that spelt the doom in England’s collapse.
Right after the first innings got over, India had a 200-run lead over England and the biggest plus point is to have two more days. That is why India opted to bat again despite having the option to ask England to follow-on.

Virat Kohli wanted Ashwin and Co to get some rest before starting afresh in the second innings. The Indian captain would be wanting a similar great spell from his premier off-spinner in Vizag.
Ashwin has just won the first part of the battle for his team. He has to do a repeat show of his first innings performance to enable India to go one-up in the five-match series.His captain would be thinking along those lines.
Now we have to wait and see how India takes the battle forward. The team is encouraged by the fact that they have a 404-run lead over England. The massive target will give more time to Ashwin for sealing India’s win.
