Phil Simmons Reportedly in line to Become Indian Team Coach

Many talented performer have applied for the Indian team coach job. It includes Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Doda Ganeshand and Lalchand Rajput.

Now former West Indies coach Phil Simmons has joined the list. According to reports, he has sent in his application for the position. The Indian Cricket Board has also also exceeded the date of submitting the application to July 9.

BCCI informed in a statement: “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the timeline for submission of applications for the post of ‘Head Coach’ for India Men’s Cricket Team.”

“The candidates who have applied earlier need not re-apply and will be included in the final list of applicants. The last date for submission of applications is hence extended to the 9th of July, 2017.”

Simmons achievements included The World T20 triumph before West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) cut short his term and had a pretty good stint during his association with West Indies Team.
