The Indian team thrashed Pakistan on June 4, many projected that Pakistan would crash out of the Champions Trophy without any resistance. But, Pakistan’s three successive wins are nothing short of marvelous.
The team that said to have low self-belief and lack of confidence, seems to have changed. They will be playing their first Champions Trophy tomorrow at The Oval against archrivals India.

South Africa was the first victim of a resurgent Pakistan. Hasan Ali’s three-wicket haul inspired a morale-boosting victory in a rain-affected contest at Edgbaston. Then Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka and later England.
Pakistan needed some spark and intensity which they clearly showed after losing to India.

“Previously the boys weren’t ready for a high-pressure game. But after having beaten some of the top teams during the last few days they have are now much more confident,” a team official told.
“In many ways it was the defeat against India that changed them. It has served as a wake-up call for the players. They were really ashamed and knew that they had let their country down.”
