In almost every press conference, MS Dhoni retirement question pops up every now and then. It happened again after India’s loss to the West Indies in the World T20 semifinal in Mumbai.
Indian captain, this time, owned the journalist with his wit, when he was asked about how keen he is to continue playing in colours for his team.
Dhoni asked Cricket Australia journalist Sam Ferris to join him on the press conference table, and what followed was nothing short of hilarious.
Here’s the conversation that happened between MS Dhoni and Sam Ferris:
Sam Ferris: Hello, sir.
MS Dhoni: Do you want me to retire?
SF: Ahh, no, that’s what I was going to ask you.
MSD: Do you think I’m unfit, looking at me running
SF: No. Very fast.
MSD: Do you think I can survive until the 2019 World Cup?
SF: Umm … yes! Sure.
MSD: Then you have the answer to your question. Thank you, sir.
