He is the most successful Indian captain, one of the finest wicketkeepers India have had, and arguably the best finisher the game of cricket has seen. But, he not just a cricketer, he is much more than that. MS Dhoni is a role model, he is someone to which the youth looks up to as an inspiration.

But, what has made MS Dhoni so popular, and one of the most followed sportspersons? There are hardly things people know about his personal life, he is not someone who looks for a limelight, yet he is widely followed.

The reason could be his versatile nature, no? Just like cricket, he also loves other sports and is equally good in other fields. Had it not been cricket, MS Dhoni would have been either playing football or may be ended up in the Indian Army.

1.) Lieutenant Colonel: MS Dhoni always wanted to join the Indian Army and he was conferred with the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He takes the position seriously, and despite representing country on the field, spend time training with the army. And, as a part of that exercise, MS Dhoni is currently undergoing para-training in Agra.
