MS Dhoni, during the unveiling of his new team’s jersey, said that after spending eight years with Chennai Super Kings, he is looking forward to play for a new team in the Indian Premier League.
Dhoni will be leading the newly-formed IPL team, Rising Pune Supergiants in the upcoming season. The Ranchi-born termed the next two years with the Pune team ‘very special’ in the presser.
“The next two years will be very special and as I said we will try to interact more, and at the same time will try our best that the team will perform well on the field,” Dhoni said.
Dhoni said the owners have a lot of faith in the team, and the side is also looking solid on paper. He added that the players will have to play to their potential in the league.
“The kind of belief the owners have shown in the team we will try to justify it,” he added. “The team looks good but we have to make sure it perform to the potential.”
