The Indian Cricket Team is aiming to defend its Champions Trophy crown in the United Kingdom. But, the one man who is crucial for their championship aspirations is their old warhorse, MS Dhoni.
It was Dhoni who let the Indian team to the tournament win in 2013 at the very same country. This time, however, he is not a captain, but still a vital cog for the Indian team’s middle-order in the bowling-friendly conditions.
Dhoni has recently led his state side Jharkhand to the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The team might have fallen short of winning the title, still his inspirational leadership was the talk of the town.
The same is expected off Dhoni in the Champions Trophy as well. He will have to inspire the team in the Champions Trophy. Much like he did with his state side Jharkhand in the January.
