The Indian Cricket Board has repealed any doubts on MS Dhoni’s international career. MSK Prasad, the chairman of selectors, called Dhoni an invaluable asset for the Indian team, and a guide to captain Virat Kohli.
Dhoni will have a huge role to play in the Champions Trophy. He will be a vital cog in the middle-order, which will have an important role to play in the English conditions. And, his contribution as a wicketkeeper will be vital too.

“He is an invaluable asset to the team and his inputs in crunch situations,” chairman of selectors MSK Prasad pointed out. “Dhoni has got one of the best brains. He is the best person to guide Virat.”
“Not many people realise, that in last 10-12 years, Dhoni has never had a bad day with the gloves,” he added. “We always treat him as a batsman but phenomenal stuff he does behind the wickets. Not many people appreciate that.”

“According to me, he is still the best wicketkeeper in world cricket,” he concluded.
The Indian team is heading into the tournament as defending champions. They won the tournament in 2013 under Dhoni’s captaincy in the United Kingdom. Dhoni will again have a crucial role to play in the tournament.
