MS Dhoni on Adam Zampa: He Is Find of The IPL

In just two matches with Rising Pune Supergiants, Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has stamped his mark by picking eight wickets, including a six-for.

Zampa’s performance went in vain as the Supergiants lost the match, but he managed to earn praise from MS Dhoni, who called him the find of the season.

“Zampa was fantastic. We wanted him to feature in the initial XI, but the combination was tough. We probably played with the best XI in the first three matches.”

“Zampa is a good find and he is somebody who can give us stability,” Dhoni insisted.

Zampa was drafted into the playing XI after Murugan Ashwin sustained a side strain against Delhi Daredevils, and made an impact straight away.

Meanwhile, Zampa, who picked three wickets in the final over of the innings, said that captain MS Dhoni gave him confidence to bowl in the death.

The Aussie leg-spinner picked the wickets of Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to put brakes on the Sunrisers’ innings.

“Dhoni just picked up the ball and threw the last over to me,” Zampa said. “MS just told me Hooda’s strength was leg side and asked me to bowl outside off. It worked.”
