The Indian team has posted a healthy first innings total against England in Vizag. It is going to be interesting to see how the English team responds on a track that is expected to break, and assist the spinners.
India posted 455 runs in the first innings. Captain Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara (119) made most of the conditions, and struck centuries. They also shared a massive 266-run partnership for the third wicket.

The English spinners pulled back things. They dismissed India’s lower-middle and lower-order pretty cheaply. Moeen Ali finished with three wickets, while Adil Rashid took a couple.
Ali struck thrice in the first session itself. He dismissed Kohli (167), Wriddhiman Saha (3) and Ravindra Jadeja (0) in a space of just 12 runs. Kohli was a massive wicket, and his dismissal halted India’s surge momentarily.
Ravichandran Ashwin, meanwhile, added 64 runs for the eighth wicket with debutant Jayant Yadav (35). Ashwin (58) completed yet another fifty and helped India go past 450 runs mark in the 2nd Test.
