KL Rahul Proving his Doubters Wrong

Regarded as one of the most technically sound batsmen in the Indian circuit, KL Rahul stamped his mark with a hundred in his only second Test against Australia.

After that he was considered as a Test specialist, with very little or nothing to do with the limited-overs format. But, interestingly, he is currently the only player playing all three formats for the Indian team.

On a back of an impressive IPL season, Rahul got a call for a limited-overs series against Zimbabwe, and the stylist opener struck an unbeaten hundred on his very first game in colours.

Rahul, who was named man of the series for scoring 196 runs, featuring a fifty and hundred, in three one-dayers, said that he work hard on his game to become a versatile player.

“Coaches or your players in the dressing room can tell you you’re not good enough for certain formats, but I never thought they were right,” KL Rahul said in an interview.

“I knew I was blessed with certain skills, so I stuck to that, I worked really hard on my game, and made sure my strengths became so strong that every time the ball was there, it went for a boundary,” he added.

“You know best about your game – go out there, be yourself and express yourself. If someone says you can’t do something, prove them wrong,” he added.
