KL Rahul has proved his fitness, and is likely to replace Gautam Gambhir in Vishakhapatnam Test. The Indian coach Anil Kumble has confirmed that Rahul has recovered and fit to play in the 2nd Test.
The Indian opener proved his fitness in the Ranji Trophy game against Rajasthan. He scored a flowing 76 in the first innings, followed by a classy century in the second.
“I’m feeling really good,” Rahul said. “You can spend time in the gym, but you never know if your body is fully healed until you play a few games. This game has helped me gain confidence.”

The chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad, was present to watch Rahul in action. It shows what he means to the team. He was also accompanied by an NCA physio for the Ranji Trophy game.
“To be honest, I did not know that he (Prasad) was here,” the Indian opener said. “I don’t have to prove anything to anybody. I just focussed on my game, getting fit and getting rid of any niggles.”
