Kiran More on the post-tea session, Day 2, Nottingham Test

With 457 on the scoreboard and then getting England to finish on 43 for 1 on day 2 of the first Test match, one can say that so far India has been able to dominate the Nottingham Test match. However, I don’t see that happening tomorrow as the pitch is likely to ruin India’s chances here. The pitch is clearly assisting the batsmen more now and with India’s last wicket contributing with 111 runs only goes on to show how easy it is for a batsman to get runs on this track.

India will definitely miss R Ashwin here, as the wicket is slow and has also started to turn a bit, which would have more suited his style of bowling. But they have someone like Ravindra Jadeja who can also do wonders with his intelligent left arm spin bowling. Going into the day three of the Test match, MS Dhoni would expect more out his seam bowlers who need to make use of the new ball and get early wickets to give India a chance in this Test match.
