Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has named Kanpur’s Green Park and Motera among the worst grounds he has ever played on.

On Twitter, Pietersen was asked to name worst ten cricket grounds, and along with Green Park and Motera, Old Trafford and Guyana’s ground are also named by the English batsman.

Pietersen also named Brisbane’s Gabba as the ’11th worst ground’ to his followers on the social networking site. Other grounds that are there on the list are: Chelmsford, Colwyn Bay, Canberra, Multan, Leicester and St Kitts.

Meanwhile, Pietersen has named Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium in the 10 best grounds he has played his cricket on. He played a match-winning 186 at Wankhede in 2012 to help England upset the hosts India.

That knock from Pietersen is considered as one of the best innings played by an overseas batsman on Indian soil. And, his innings also turned the series on its head.

Other grounds that are named by Pietersen as his best venues are: Adelaide, The Oval, Trinidad, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Kingsmead, Headingley, Centurion, Wellington and Barbados.
