Aggression is an important part of fast bowling. But, sometimes, things go a little too far, resulting in a not so good sight for the spectators of the gentlemen’s game.

Right from the verbal spat between Glenn McGrath and Ramnaresh Sarwan to James Faulkner and Virat Kohli, things have gone out of the hand.

Indian Cricket Team’s bowling sensation, Jasprit Bumrah, however, believes that there is no need to exchange unpleasant gestures on the cricket field.

He said that it is important to remain aggressive as a fast bowler, as it is an important part of fast bowling, but it doesn’t mean one should abuse the batsman.

“It’s important. You have to tell the batsman that you are always on top of your game,” Bumrah said. “But you don’t need to abuse the batsmen.”

“You can give him that stare but abusing is not on. I don’t go and do stupid stuff in front of the batsman,” he added. “I used to do that.”

“In my early days I used to be very aggressive, get really angry but ultimately it affected my bowling,” he concluded. “But now I know. Aggression should be inside.”
