Indian Cricket Team’s Home Season Cramped with Limited-Overs Matches

The Indian Cricket Team will play as many as 23 matches between September and December. India will host Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka during that time. The dates haven’t been revealed yet by the BCCI.

“The dates of the matches have deliberately not been frozen,” Amitabh Choudhary said. “The logistics must factor in local factors such as festivals. As you know Durga Puja being what it is in the whole of eastern India and not only in West Bengal and other public holidays and logistics of distance.”

India will play a total of 11 one-dayers, 9 T20 matches and 3 Test matches. The Indians will play limited-overs series against Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, they will host Sri Lanka for the Test matches as well.

Indian Cricket Team’s home season:

India vs Australia:

5 ODIs – Chennai, Bangalore, Nagpur, Indore and Kolkata; 3 T20Is – Hyderabad, Ranchi and Guwahati

India vs New Zealand:

3 ODIs – Pune, Mumbai and Kanpur; 3 T20Is – Delhi, Cuttack and Rajkot

India vs Sri Lanka:

3 Tests – Kolkata, Nagpur and Delhi; 3 ODIs – Dharamsala, Mohali and Vizag; Three T20Is – Thiruvananthapuram, Indore and Mumbai
