Indian Cricket Board Announces West Indies vs India Schedule

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced the complete schedule of India’s tour to West Indies that will be featuring four Tests, starting July 21.

Virat Kohli’s Indian team will start the tour with a couple of two-day warm-up matches before the first Test in Antigua. The first practice match will be played from July 9, while the second game will commence from July 14.

Kohli-led Indian team is expected to leave from India on July 6 to the Caribbean Islands, with probably new support staff, and a head coach.

The 49-day tour will see the return of senior players, such as Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, to name a few, in the team.

All senior players, except limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, have been rested from team for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour, in which the Indian team is slated to play three one-dayers and as many T20s.

Complete West Indies vs India schedule:

  • 9-10th July: 1st Warm-up game
  • 14-16th July: 2nd Warm-up game
  • 21-25th July: 1st Test, Antigua
  • 30th July – 3rd August: 2nd Test, Jamaica
  • 9-13th August: 3rd Test, St.Lucia
  • 18-22nd August: 4th Test, Trinidad
