The West Indies have named a 13-member squad for the first two ODIs against India. They have named an unchanged squad, which recently played against Afghanistan in a three-match series.
West Indies, who are ranked ninth in the ICC Rankings, will have a chance of gaining some rankings points against India. They failed to win any points against the Afghans, and this might cost them in the future.
Only top-eight teams will get a direct entry into the 2019 World Cup. And, the upcoming series against India is their last chance of climbing the ladder. Otherwise, they will need to play the qualifications.

The Indian team, meanwhile, are heading to the Caribbean after a heart-breaking loss in the Champions Trophy final. They lost the final to archrivals Pakistan by a thumping 180-run margin.
India and West Indies will play a five-match ODI series, and a one-off T20. The opening game will take place on June 23 in the Port of Spain, Trinidad.
