New Zealand have named their squad for the upcoming one-day series against India. Corey Anderson has found himself among the 15-member squad, but he will be used solely as a batsman.
Anderson hasn’t featured for the Blackcaps since February owing to a back injury. He, however, played some games for New Zealand XI last week before been named for the five-match ODI series.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Neesham, BJ Watling and Anton Devcich have all returned to the squad. However, Colin Munro, George Worker, Adam Milne and Mitchell McClenaghan were unavailable because of injuries.
“India conditions are known to be quite harsh,” New Zealand selector Gavin Larsen said. “It’s really important that we have cover for all positions.”

“The last time we played ODIs was in the Chappell Hadlee series. Victory there helped us reach the world number two ranking. We obviously want to keep growing on that and this series is another massive challenge for us.”
