The Indian team has built a solid lead over England on Day 4 of the Chennai Test. Karun Nair scored his maiden triple century, as the hosts took a 282-run lead over England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Nair become only the second Indian after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century. He also became only the third player, and the first Indian, to turn his maiden Test hundred into a triple century.

Captain Virat Kohli declared the innings at 759/7(d). He gave the visitors 5 overs to negotiate before stumps on Day 4. The English managed to play through the remaining overs without any hiccups.
England now need a massive effort to save the Chennai Test match. They have already lost the Test series, and a loss here would make the final scoreline 4-0 in India’s favour.
