India vs England 4th Test Result Full Scorecard
India just took over half-an-hour on the final day of the 4th Test to complete a convincing win over England. They have defeated England by an innings and 36 runs to seal the five-match series in Mumbai.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Virat Kohli scripted India’s win. The former completed his 10-wicket-haul, while the Indian captain struck his third double century of the year. England had no answers of India’s first innings total.
The hosts posted a mammoth 631 in their first innings, thanks to Kohli and Jayant Yadav. The duo stitched a 241-run partnership for the eighth wicket, with Jayant scoring his maiden Test century for the Indian team.

“This is very special, we have lost three tosses. The 200-run stand between Jayant and Virat was exceptional. Ashwin has bowled beautifully throughout the series. He’s never happy or satisfied, that’s the best part about him.”
“You can’t really compare different teams, but this is the No. 1 side in the world,” Anil Kumble said. “They are exception in their intensity and awareness. Everyone has contributed. This team is certainly special.”
Meanwhile, England got bundled out for a mere 195 in their second innings. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow did score fifties, but their effort proved insufficient, as England failed to match India’s total.
