England have posted a healthy total in the first innings to gain significant advantage in the 4th Test. The visitors posted 400 runs in their first innings thanks to some gritty batting against the Indian spinners.
Keaton Jennings (112) struck century on debut for England. Jos Buttler, meanwhile, added crucial runs with the lower-order. He made important partnerships with Ben Stokes (31), Chris Woakes (11) and Jake Ball.

Buttler (76) added 54 runs with Ball (31) for the ninth wicket. The pair ensured that England reach the 400-run mark, despite some impressive bowling from the Indians. They held their ends against the Indian spinners.
Ravichandran Ashwin, again, proved to be India’s best bowler, and finished with six wickets. He got good support from Ravindra Jadeja from the other end. Jadeja finished with four wickets in the match.
The Indians now need to bat impressively, as the Wankhede pitch is offering plenty to the bowlers.
