On a green Eden Gardens pitch, England’s top-order showed a lot of grit and resilience. Later, their middle-order ensured that they post a competitive total against in the third and last game of the three-match ODI series.
England posted 321 in the 3rd ODI against India, on a pitch that is assisting the seamers. Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes scored fifties, while captain Eoin Morgan and Chris Woakes also made handy contributions.

Hardik Pandya bowled well with both new and old ball. He ended up with three wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja took two. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah ended with one, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled well in the death.
Despite putting runs on the board, it will be not be easy for England to defend the total against the in-form Indian batting line-up. Plus, with dew coming in the evening, will only going to make it tough for them.
“The pitch was doing something. We bowled pretty well at the start, but they were scoring boundaries as well. It’ll be a good contest with the new ball moving around,” Pandya said. “We’ll have to wait till the ball stops swinging.”
“The dew will come,” he added. “Even in the last few overs we asked the curators about it and they said it will come.”
