England pacer David Willey has escaped a serious injury, and could play a part in the T20 series. The English team will be playing a three-match T20 series against India. Kanpur will host the series opener on January 26.
Willey injured his shoulder in the 3rd ODI at the Eden Gardens. He didn’t travel with the team to Kanpur, and stayed back for scan. The scan, however, has not revealed any significant damage to his left shoulder.

England Cricket Posted on Twitter: “A scan didn’t show up significant damage to his left shoulder. He could still feature in the IT20 series. He will travel to Kanpur tomorrow for a further assessment with ECB medical staff.”
The shoulder injury also prevented Willey to bowl his full quota in Kolkata. England, however, managed to defend the total to register a consolation win the three-match ODI series.

England will have a new-look pace attack in the T20 series. Tymal Mills and Chris Jordan have joined the team from the Big Bash League. Bowlers from both team got belted in the ODI series.
