The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has confirmed that the tickets for the 1st ODI have been sold out. India will play England in the first one-dayer at January 15 at the MCA’s International Stadium.
In a media release, the MCA informed that the tickets got sold out within 12 days. It further added that the booking was done both online and offline. The 37,406-capacity stadium will be houseful for the opening match.
“This is a great moment for MCA. Among many reasons for this sell out. The current form of the Indian team, the long gap since the last ODI was played here,” MCA President, Ajay Shirke, said.

“The following that the sport has in India and undoubtedly the Punekars,” the MCA president added.
India will play a limited-overs series against England in mid-January. The MS Dhoni-led side will first play three one-day matches, then followed by as many T20 matches. These will be India’s only limited-overs matches before the Champions Trophy in the United Kingdom.
