Mahendra Singh Dhoni recently broke a number of records against Sri Lanka. Right from most stumpings to unbeaten innings, MS Dhoni made quite a few headlines during the limited-overs series against the Lankan Lions.
The limited-overs series against Australia fast approaching. So let’s have a look at an astonishing record he holds against the Aussies. Dhoni is the only Indian captain to have scored hundred against the Australian Cricket Team.
Dhoni, infact, has two hundreds against the Aussies. On the other hand, none of the Indian captain has managed to hit a ton against the Kangaroos. He also has 1204 runs under his belt in 40 ODIs against Australia.
The charismatic batsman hit his first century against Australia in 2009 in Nagpur. He made a 107-ball 124, as India went on to win the match easily. Dhoni also made a crucial stand with opener Gautam Gambhir in that game.
MS Dhoni’s second ton against the Australian Cricket Team took four years to come. He made an unbeaten 121-ball 139 in a losing cause. In that game Dhoni was the lone man fighting for the Indian Cricket Team.
