India faced a comprehensive defeat in the series opener in their own backyard. The bruised Indians would be aiming to come hard at the Aussies in the 2nd Test in Bengaluru, according to David Warner.

In the series opener, the Indians failed to put any resistance on a rank-turner. They could only manage to score 105 and 107 in their first and second innings, respectively. India eventually lost the game by 333 runs.

“So for us to beat them on home soil was awesome and fantastic,” Warner said. “But we know they’re going to come back harder and we’ve just got to adapt to the conditions again with what we face here in (Bengaluru).”
