India retain position; Ravichandran Ashwin Loses Place in ICC Test Rankings

The Indian Cricket Team has retained its second place in the recently released ICC Test Rankings. Pakistan continue to remain at the top-spot with 111 rating points, one more than the Indian team.

Australia are third, followed by England. South Africa have gained two place with their recent win over New Zealand, who have slipped two places. South Africa are fifth, followed by Sri Lanka and the Blackcaps.

Meanwhile, Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has dropped a place to third. The Proteas speedster Dale Steyn have gained two spots to reach at the number one position. James Anderson is second on the list.

Indian left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has retained his eighth position. He is ahead of New Zealand pacers Neil Wagner and Trent Boult, who complete the top-10.

Ashwin continues to top the ICC Test allrounders list. Shakib Al Hasan is second, Moeen Ali is third, Mitchell Starc is fourth, while South African Vernon Philander is fifth.

Ajinkya Rahane is the only Indian batsmen in the top-10 at the eighth position. Australia captain Steve Smith is the top Test batsman, while Joe Root is second, and Kane Williamson is third.
