Ravichandran Ashwin has maintained his top-spot in the latest ICC Test Rankings. Ashwin is number one in both bowlers and allrounders’ rankings, despite an under-par performance in the 1st Test.
The ICC released the rankings after the conclusion of opening game between India and England in Rajkot.
Ravindra Jadeja has also maintained his seventh position in the rankings. Jadeja is also fifth in the allrounders’ rankings. He is behind Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali, with 296 rating points.

However, there is no Indian batsman in the top-10 standings. Cheteshwar Pujara is the highest-ranked batsman at 11th position. He gained a couple of places after scoring a century in the Rajkot Test.
The Indian captain Virat Kohli is 14th in the rankings with 725 rating points. He gained a place in the rankings. Rajkot match centurion Murali Vijay gained two places to move 23rd in the points table.
Meanwhile, Australian captain Steve Smith leads the Test batsmen chart with 886 rating points. He is followed by Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Younus Khan, Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers and David Warner.
