Australian team has confirmed that Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the T20 series opener to be played at the Adelaide Oval against India.
Maxwell is suffering from a hamstring injury, which ruled him out of the fifth and the final one-dayer at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Acting coach of Australia, Michael Di Venuto, informed that Maxwell will not be a part of the team in Adelaide and join the squad in Melbourne for the 2nd T20.
“He has still got a little, slight hamstring niggle so he flew straight to Melbourne and will spend a few days in Melbourne at home and join the squad when we get there in a couple of days,” Di Venuto said.
