Former Indian coach Gary Kirsten has always been a vocal supporter of MS Dhoni. Kirsten was again in full support of Dhoni in his recent press conference. He backed the Indian limited-overs captain to continue playing in the Blue.
Kirsten insisted that Dhoni is the right man to lead the Indian team in the limited-overs format. The former Proteas also sounded it like a warning to anyone who wants to replace Dhoni as the skipper.
“That’s a question I get asked the most every time I come to India,” Kirsten said. “My answer hasn’t changed in three years. “If anyone doubts his ability, I think they would be making a grave mistake.”

“You replace MS Dhoni at your peril,” the former Indian team coach insisted.
There were question marks over Dhoni place in the Indian team. He, however, silenced his critics with the bat in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand. India won the closely-contested series 3-2.
“Just look at his ODI batting record as a finisher,” Kirsten said. and it’s unsurpassed in the world in terms of the position he bats at. If anyone is doubting his ability, they are making a grave mistake.”
