Jharkhand has started their preparations for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal against Vidarbha. Captain MS Dhoni, also, practiced with the squad ahead of their last-eight match of the tournament.
He did some training drills and also played football with his teammates. The quarterfinal match will take place at Delhi’s Palam Airforce Complex ground. The game will start at 9:00 am IST on March 15.
Jharkhand had an eventful outing under Dhoni this season in the tournament. They lost their opening game narrowly to Karnataka. Captain Dhoni then scored a century in the following game to secure their first win.
Dhoni then led Jharkhand to back-to-back wins over Services and Saurashtra. But, their loss against Hyderabad left them on a verge of getting knockout of the tournament. Jharkhand, however, managed to reach the quarters.
They defeated Jammu and Kashmir in their last match. They were also benefited from Hyderabad’s loss to Services. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Karnataka, Baroda, Bengal and Maharashtra have also qualified.
