Shikhar Dhawan has shown marvelous batting performance since he has come back into the Indian team. He scored 338 runs in the Champions Trophy, and scored a fifty recently against West Indies.
Dhawan, however, has decided to keep a safe distance from the ongoing controversies and concentrate on his batting. When asked about Anil Kumble’s resignations he distanced himself from to comment.

“I didn’t play much under Anil Kumble, so cannot comment on that,” Dhawan said. “I just focus on the game. Everyone has their own individuality and character. Anil Bhai, (MS) Dhoni Bhai and Virat, all are different.”

Dhawan, however, said that he missed the chance to work under Anil Kumble. He also pointed out the hardwork he did to make a comeback into the Indian team for the Champions Trophy.
“Past months were quite unfortunate for me. That’s why I was out of the team,” Dhawan said. “I went back and worked on myself, and am a stronger person and sportsman now. I knew I have those skills and capabilities to perform at the international level.”
