Chennai Super Kings are back after serving a long two-year suspension. And, if everything goes well for the Chennai-based franchisee, they will have Mahendra Singh Dhoni leading them in the next year’s IPL.
MS Dhoni’s contract with Rising Pune Supergiant will expire by the end of this year. And, he will go under the hammer for a new contract. The Super Kings are most likely to rope him to lead their side once again.
“If we are given an option of retaining a player, it will definitely be Dhoni,” John said. “We haven’t yet discussed with Dhoni as his contract with Pune Supergiant ends later this year. However, we will speak to him in the future.”

This is not all, if given the opportunity, the Yellow-brigade will also add its old support staff. Stephen Fleming will return as the head coach, while Steve Nixon, Andy Bichel and Lakshmi Narayanan will assist him.
“For us, loyalty is very important. That’s been our strength over the years,” John insisted. “Though we haven’t yet taken a final decision on the support staff, we are definitely thinking of retaining the old support staff.”
