For the knock-out stages of the Ranji Trophy early next year, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) is going to avoid major Test centres who are going to host the World T20 matches.
According to the BCCI sources, venues like Pune, Ranchi, Indore and Bhubneshwar, Visakapatanam have been shortlisted along with five to six more centres.
It was reliable also learnt that the board will zero down on seven venues to stage the Ranji knock-outs, which is scheduled to be held from the first week of February next year. Meanwhile, the World T20 starts from 2016 March.
