The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) will pick India’s limited-overs squad for the six limited-overs matches on Friday in Mumbai. The selectors will also pick India A squad for two practice matches against England.
India A will play practice matches at the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai. The limited-overs series will commence from January 15. India will play three ODIs and as many T20s against the visitors.
The selection panel will also chose a new captain of the Indian limited-overs team. MS Dhoni has stepped down as the skipper. He, however, will be available for selection as a wicketkeeper-batsmen.

Dhoni will also play practice matches to get some practice ahead of the six-match series, starting January 15 in Pune.
India’s Test captain Virat Kohli is front-runner to take the captaincy baton from Dhoni. His form with the bat and as a skipper has been phenomenal so far. He recently lead India to Test series win over New Zealand and England.
It will be interesting to see whether a five-member or a six-member selection panel will pick the Indian team.
