BCCI Nominates MS Dhoni for Padma Bhushan

The Indian Cricket Board has nominated India’s most successful cricket captain MS Dhoni for Padma Bhushan. They has sent just one name for the third-highest civilian award for Dhoni’s contribution to the game of cricket.

Dhoni’s name was unanimously nominated for the award. The greatest Indian captain has scored 9737 runs in 302 ODIs besides 4876 runs in 90 Test matches. He has also won India World T20, World Cup and Champions Trophy.

“Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated by the BCCI for the Padma Bhushan award,” a BCCI source was quoted in media. “There was no doubt among the members that Dhoni has impeccable credentials.”

“Two World titles (2011 50-over World Cup and 2007 World T20), nearly 10,000 runs, 90 Test matches,” he added. “There is no one better than him, who could have been nominated.”
